- Until 2002, answer sheets for essay tests were to be opened from the bottom. However, for ease of writing and to reflect modern design, the form was changed to be opened from side to side. Also, in 2008, grading was no longer done on the original answer sheets but instead on copies in order to prevent loss or damage of the originals.
